Soft-Tissue Surgery in Urology
Partial Nephrectomy
- Diode lasers and surgical optical fibers allow to perform the partial nephrectomy in an open surgery or laparoscopic setting.
- A dual wavelength diode laser with 980nm and 1470nm allows the surgeon to coagulate or cut the tissue as needed with minimal bleeding, fast hemostasis and a clear view of the tissue.
- Using diode lasers as a surgical tool enables a nephron-sparing surgery and to maintain the overall renal function of the patient.
- Additional surgical applications for diode lasers include bladder tumor resection and the treatment of BPH.
