Industrial
Efficient Workhorses Delivering Light Through Fiber
Diode lasers in the power range 30- 800 W are widely used for medium-power industrial processes because they deliver heat efficiently, uniformly, and in a highly controllable way. Their high electrical-to-optical efficiency ensures low operating cost, and the fiber coupling allows easy integration into robots and production lines.
The wavelengths in the Near-Infrared (NIR) – ranging from around 800nm up to 2000 nm – are well absorbed by many plastics and other industry materials, making them ideal for applications that require precise but not extremely high-intensity energy deposition.

Across these uses, diode lasers are also chosen because they are compact and cost-effective. They provide long lifetime and reliability in 24/7 production, and have straightforward cooling requirements – either Peltier- or water-cooled.
They provide stable, controllable energy deposition in exactly the power range where many industrial heating and joining processes operate.
