Lumics is a privately-owned diode laser manufacturer with own chip fab, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Berlin/Germany. Since 2012 we belong to the Berlin.Industrial.Group (B.I.G.), a dynamic coalition of highly specialized tech companies. Since 2016 our home is our own newly-built 50,000 sqm campus just few kilometers from downtown Berlin.
Lumics is a key player for design and manufacturing of high quality diode laser products with wavelengths from 670 nm – 1940 nm based on GaAs (Gallium Arsenide), InP (Indium Phosphide), GaSb (Gallium Antimonide). We offer both single-mode and multi-mode diode lasers – with powers from Milliwatts up to >800 Watt – for demanding medical, industrial and scientific applications.
Our own in-house capabilities span the entire value chain from wafer and chip level up to fiber-coupled laser modules and complete system solutions based on single emitter technology. We have the equipment and plant capacity to handle both small and large scale production volumes.
